On December 31, 2012, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) in conjunction with the National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) completed a 10-month audit of materials and processing used by THRACE LINQ to manufacture needle-punch nonwoven fabrics for the geotextiles market and to comply with AASHTO’s NTPEP Geotextiles Technical Committee Work Plan. AASHTO’s NTPEP audit program for geotextiles allows for all prime manufacturers and private label manufacturers to be held to the same standards, whether located in the United States or in another country. The program provides assurance that the geosynthetics used by regulatory agencies are produced and tested to high quality standards. The audit program consists of a desktop review of a company’s Quality Management System (QMS) once every 5 years and a yearly on-site audit of each plant that has products tested through NTPEP.
